Yeah I was wondering about the Tomcat as well. But if you noticed, a lot of them are Boeing IDS and McDonnell Douglas planes (F4, F15 & F22). Or North American Aviation ones like F86 and P51. The Grumman planes (F14) aren't included.

Yay! cool toys for big boys.. i think Stealth bomber would be the best aircraft fighter, in my own opinion.

but they don't have enough service length to match up to the WWII fighters...
that list isn't complete without the a-10 warthog. those things kick ass. they are always flying here in arizona.

If the Mustang WASN'T first, I'd probably write this list off completely... at least they recognize the Mustang and the ME262.
i like the F15 because it is fast and menoverable.it also has a large payload and advanced targeting systems.Stealh fighters such as the F117 are slow and do not carry any air-to-air weapons(guns,missles,air-to-air rocket,etc..)and are vunerable to AA guns and other fighters,plus one was shot down by a soviet-made serbian SA-3 over Bosnia.The F15E carrys both bambs and missles and can fly at super-sonic speeds,and carries a 20mm cannon ideal for dogfighting.
the f15 made 104 kills in it's career.Isreali F15 pilots made the most kills of the type
